Travis County ESD#3's Adopted Fire Code
The Travis County ESD#3 Emergency Prevention Division Office is located at 1011
Westlake Drive, at the corner of Westlake Drive and Redbud Trail. It is
co-located with Travis County ESD#9/Westlake Fire Department. The Emergency

Fireworks Inspection Requirements
All inspection requests shall be coordinated through the Administration Office at
(512) 327-9424. Scheduling an inspection is subject to inspection availability.
The following information must be provided in order to schedule an inspection:
Permit number
Address of project
Name of project
Fire Protection Contractor's
name and phone number
Type of inspection being requested
On-site inspection
requirements are as follows:
Permit should be posted at the front entry of the
building.
A set of approved plans with the signature of and comments by a
representative of the emergency prevention division must be on-site at the time
of inspection. This does not include shop drawings stamped by your company.
Provide all previous inspection tickets from the emergency prevention division
with the permit packet.
Work that is to be inspected can not be covered up prior
to inspection
General information is as follows:
All contractors must register
with the emergency prevention division
All plan submittals must be accompanied
by a Fire Protection Plan Review Application
All calculations must be signed by
a licensed contractor
All plans submitted must be stamped and signed by a Texas
State Licensed Fire Protection Contractor
All inspections require a set of
approved plans on the job site. The Fire Inspector must sign all permits after
each inspection.
Plans approved by Travis County ESD#3 give authorization for
construction. Final approvals are subject to field verification. Any approval
issued by the emergency prevention division does not release the contractor or
property owner from the responsibility of full compliance with applicable codes
and ordinances relating to the construction project. All installations must
comply with the approved plans. Any deviation from the approved plans requires a
re-submittal to the emergency prevention division.
